Indaba was born from a simple frustration: tracking tenders meant checking dozens of government websites daily. Understanding your market meant buying expensive research reports. Managing your sales pipeline meant juggling spreadsheets, CRMs, and email.

We started by building a tender scraper that aggregated opportunities from across South Africa — government gazettes, eTenders, provincial portals, municipal notices. But we quickly realised that finding a tender is only the beginning. You need to understand who you're competing against, what price to bid, whether your compliance documents are in order, and how to manage the entire lifecycle from opportunity to contract.

The name "Indaba" comes from the Zulu word for a gathering to discuss important matters. That's exactly what our platform enables — bringing together the data, people, and insights needed to make critical business decisions.
